Therein lies the "Key".  Once you start using it you have to continue
else the vinyl you put it on will dry out and crack.  It contains
silicone.  The oils in the vinyl get leached out.  If you live where
it's hot, this is often seen as a film on the inside of the windshield.

After years of using it, off and on, I've decided not to use it again.
