I've used them for work and they are tough but very overpriced IMHO, even used.

I've had cheapo used laptops in my garage for years running Porsche Durametric software w/o any issues. Don't know if you are a commercial garage or not but I would rather spend $300 on an ebay Compaq 1.3P4 then a the $$$ on a toughbook.

There is software out there to do the virtual desktop for the ETKA.

If you can get one for $100 like John Meeks did, go for it! Make sure it's got USB if you plan to ever hook it to something down the road!
