I have a couple of those (metal cases, though) and they're great for battery posts and terminals. They wouldn't do anything for female spade terminals, though.

If the female spade is corroded then it's likely that there is corrosion where it crimps to the wire, too. That's certainly one of the reasons I simply replace the spades ... but with open barrel types. The result is just like the factory originals.

It reminds me of something a little girl once said about my wife's apple butter. "So good you can't even tell it's homemade" ... Heheheheheh
