I think you can remove all that corrosion by doing a thorough engine scrub which will decorrosify and degunkify pretty much all the engine internals: http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=7 Chris S. ----- Original Message ---- From: Zoltan Kuthy <zolo@FOXINTERNET.NET> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Wednesday, November 28, 2007 3:26:43 PM Subject: What is the scientific explanation?
I have always wondered, why would there be extensive aluminum corrosion built up under rubber hoses on aluminum parts or under the head gasket. I don't see any electrolysis activity going on under such insulating material. I am baffled. Anyone has an acceptable scientific explanation? Or is it something everyone knows except I. Zoltan
