Subject: How close is a 86 wolfsburg westy (weekender) interior to a carat interior..
>http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=533496 >Is the rear bench metal like the later ones or wood like a full camper? Plywood. The padding is a little thinner than that of a full Westy. >Can a carat rear seat with headrest be swapped exactly? I don't know. The carat rear seat ruins your flat sleeping surface, so why do it? > Would double removable jump seats be hard to put in? The rear facing seat in a Wolfsburg Westy is bolted to the floor. You might be able to retrofit a rear facing seat behind the passenger seat. >Are the panels the same as the carat interior? I don't know. This is a farily rare vehicle. I had an '85 model. Why not find a later model weekender without the cabinets instead of ruining this one? Based on what I've seen the Carat had the same interior as the weekender. Chris S.
