If this van is truly as good as is claimed, it's worth the price. *No reflection on this ad* , but I'm fixing about 250 things in this 82 diesel westy that has a 98 subaru 2.2 engine in it that was on ebay at some point. . There's an old ebay print out in the van. The ebay ad makes this van sound wonderful - claims '93 % restored' and 'great conversion' etc. I'm into it about a hundred hours, and mostly I'm getting endless horrible 'work' fixed properly. Sometimes the sellers even honestly believe it's a good vehicle, with no particular issues, but little do they actually know. And, again, no reflection on boston bob's ad here- I would expect it's quite worth the price and a good westy overall for sure. Scott www.turbovans.com

I can resist my van is an 84 and this is what its worth http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=494881

I think front brake life depends on rear brakes working correctly and that is not often the case as my add says 80 % left in 30K
