The main effect is on caster angle. This is a very impotant angel as it effects the "on center" feel and return to center action of the suspension. Most side way pulls inability to stay on course is due to this angle being off or not bein maintained under the load of driving. Also, when the center of the bushings are worn, you will get metal to meltal wear on the rod and chassis. I have had to weld many a chassis mount back in as enough wear will allow the mounts to pull through. Quite spectacular as the tire hits the rear of wheel well while braking.

Is the mounts are cracked, distorted, or there are any signes of sideways movement on the chassis, they need to be serviced.
