Opinions are easy to come by. I've been driving with that condition where I had to stop every 40 minutes or so and fill and bleed the cooling system, but I could have gone a few thousand miles that way....every 40 minutes or so, pull over, let 'er cool, fill coolant, then bleed at the front, and precede. But no, it's not likely that you can have a successful trip without possibly causing more damage. If you could see what those little green o-rings look like in there right now...... Very poor design, there's just no way it can last a long time. It's a pure air-cooled design adapted to liquid cooling. A 91 too, last year, and thus a keeper - better to fix it properly. I know this is a common problem but I don't have the money to fix wright now. I would like to try to do the head reseal myself next summer. The question is how far can I drive the van like this? I drove it this summer without to much problem only adding coolant that it blue out but now with the colder weather it seems to have gotten worse. It also seems to blow out more coolant going up long hills. I have to make a trip xcountry think I can make it? I don't want any guaranty's just your opinion. thanks in advance jack 91 GL
