Hi folks:


I'd like to pick up a GPS system as a gift for a friend, but don't know much about them. Something that could be mounted (and removed easily to deter theft) on the dash I think would be nice. Something that doesn't take a brain surgeon to operate, as the women I'm giving this to is not super mechanically inclined. Perhaps something that would warn you ahead of time of upcoming turns and so forth, but also provide for an alternate route(s) should you miss your turn--that kind of thing. Is something that works with a laptop computer a possibility? Any comments appreciated. I don't want to spent a fortune, but perhaps something in the $200-$400 range-- is that possible or am I dreaming?
