I love how conspiracy theories always grant the government so much power. This is the same government which is apparently powerless to do anything about major corporations when it comes to enforcing environmental regs, etc.? If there were a way that Exxon/Mobile could produce something cheap* and sell it to us for a fraction under gas prices while telling us what a good deal we were getting, does anybody here really think the gummint would do anything - except maybe give them a break?
