I think your appreciation for Nevada culture might need some tweaking ! What
I see and love is wide open spaces and sage brush. Frankly, your typical
cigarette smoking casino crawling Nevadan.....no thanks, but the open spaces
are fantastic, and there are a few decent folks around.
And don't get me started on gambling ! ...all the Indian
casinos..........in Wa and Or ... What a sad way to 'create jobs.'
And sadly, the income generated is enormous !
I can just about respect Nevada's tradition about gambling quite a bit,
compared to the trend of covering natural undisturbed land with Indian-owned
casinos in other states. Thousands of square feet of asphalt and buildings
- such a waste of human energy, and damaging to the planet, and to human's
psyche.
I'd say tiny little remote Jackpot is nothing, as far as blights go,
compared to huge new casinos in Washington and Oregon, and California and so
on. Scary.

Well, I-5 in southern western Washington was flooded last night the TV said.
Around Chehalis, between Olympia and the Columbia River.
You'd be better off to go east on 90 out of Seattle, then southish. .
I think I'd take that to Idaho Falls, then straight south on this sweet
little remote two lane road, that drops right down to I-80. The border town
there is JackPot, at the Idaho/Nevada border.
That's probably your most direct interstate route, Seattle , then I-90
eastward, then down to 80, then east. Battle Mountain, that's the Nevada
town you'd access 80 at.
I love it out there !! Been there lots in a turbo diesel vanagon.
What is an OEM 89 westy. You mean Original from the factory 89 diesel westy

And what is OEM stylized California decals ?
Pinstripping or ?

There are two kinds of jobs in the world:
Picking up garbage and telling people things.
Successful people do both, with the same good attitude. (riw)
