Actually, Delco batteries are an excellent product, even in the BCI group 41 size. Yes, they make their own. I have owned a few including one in my '88 Fox. I do not know how well they will last for deep cycle use though. Dennis

And somehow, to ME, just the name 'Delco freedom' reeks of cheap American stuff, with an unrealistic promise. I would expect a delco battery to be much more poorly made than a battery from a dedicated battery company. I'd sure never bother with a Sears DieHard battery ether - same thing there , 60 % goes to hype, only 40 % goes to any sort of actual merit or quality, even though they SAY otherwise. It's apparently ok to claim a superior product in advertising all you want, regardless of what's really so.

RE: RVC What is the recommended 'sealed/maintenance free' Group 41 battery among those gathered here together? My Delco Freedom is now applying for AARB status. Not aware of any Al, same as no Deep Cycle Group 41's out there. |
