Do not log into your ebay or paypal account through a link, as in an email. Carefully type www.ebay.com into your browser, every single time. That's how they get your password. That's how they hijack your ebay account. It's easy to spoof the apparent text link in an email, do a mouseover and take a look at where that link is actually going.

When buying or selling on eBay, always use the eBay message system. Do not correspond by direct email. Any eBay related email that you receive should also in your "My eBay" message inbox at ebay.com. If it is not, you can be sure it is fraudulent. Phishing for your password.

When paying by Paypal, make payment through eBay checkout. Do not make a direct paypal payment.

Gary
