Ebay- They don't referee your problem with a buyer or seller unless you file the dispute resolution console.

Phone calling is not how you get disputes resolved on ebay ,. unless you can talk to the buyer/seeler on the phone.

I sell for a living on ebay. I have deals go bad all the time. Big deal. If it was a brick and mortar store (or wood) it would be about the same.

There are unpleasant customers abounding. And there are businesses who don't get my business .

So on ebay. I choose who I'm doing business with wisely.

If I get scammed, I did'nt do my homework. Blaming ebay is like blaming the bricks (or the wood) of the building. They are a venue, not brokers.

Do they sit back and ignore your requests for help? They haven't me . If a sale goes sour I file the Dispute Resolution ebay has in place.

This is what you do-Item significantly not as described. You don't call ebay- they don't have a hotline except for account fraud.

Disputes are resolved directly with the seller /buyer.

Ebay doesn't get involved and take sides.

They let you solve it. If the buyer or seller refuses to work out a solution with you, you close the dispute and get your FVC back or the buyer gets his money back after Paypal decides the claim .

If the buyer uses a check, money order, western union, but not a PayPal bank transfer, then he can only blame himself .

PayPal does decide in your favor if you follow the rules .

Case in point: I recently had a buyer file a claim against me saying I sold him the wrong part.

PayPal asked him to send this "wrong" part back to me before he would be issued a refund. he never returned the part.

No part, no refund.

That happens to me at least once a month.

They want to keep the part and the money.

That's a scam, Sam. Buying a car for huge sums of money is very risky.

You can't truly inspect a car on the internet. If the guy could afford that car, surely he could afford a plane ticket, motel and car rental.
