Sure, it carries leaked fuel inside the protective sleeves to the spark plugs !

Hello All,

Is the loose fitting fuel line protective sleeve supposed to carry away fuel, from a fuel leak in a line, away from the top of the engine to prevent fires?

I credit this thinking to a friend of mine who felt that the sleeve was important enought to put back on properly when he replaced his fuel lines.

If this is indeed part of the design, then I'm not sure the corrugated wire wrapper is the solution, though it may look nice.
