I wouldn't worry about the toxic fire hazard, there's plenty of other
stuff in the van that's toxic if it burns.  You're right that a fuel
leak would very likely disolve the foam.  Guess you could test it by
dropping a small piece of the foam into a basin or can with some
gasoline.


However, if the OEM sleeve/cover is available I'd certainly go with
that, myself.  I thought we were trying to find some substitute for an
NLA part.
