Sure, that's in the passenger cabin, so it would be a lot better than down there by the tail light, where water can come down the air intake channel. My first preference is under the back seat. If it's not convenient to do that, just where you say would be my next preference. As long as it's inside the passenger area, where things are driest and the most temperature stable.

What about under the rear storage cabinet (assuming a Westy). I've seen several Subaru conversions where the ECU was located there, and it's right above the stock VW location. Jeff
