Gmail works great for me. Plus with a Gmail account, you can publish a googlepages web site. 100 MB for free. Currently I'm finding that quite useful. Seems that publishing to my .mac site is not working well. These days it's quicker to publish to googlepages. Plus it was easier to get a URL I liked.
