all good info. BUT now I'm confused again....see below. DOT 5 is silicon base, correct and not compatible w/ glycol based Dot 3-4 BUT what they sell now at Adv. Auto is synthetic Dot 3 & 4 and they it's compatible w/ my old stuff...that was where my original ? started.....Can we get an authoritive final concensus on this brake fluid?

In fact, I cannot located anything but synthetic at my FLAPS.....few old time cans but majority is now sythetic?
