Sounds like you blew the fuse. My 87 did the same thing on Monday. Be advised that this is an indication the fan motor is on its way south. There is little benifit to using the high speed anyway. Yes it blows more air but the air will be heated less. Notice the number "2" on that dislplay showing lever position for maximum defrost? Yes, that is the best speed for heating defrosting. Remember that all air from the front is outside air. Once the van is moving down the road there is little need for the fan at all. Make sure the exhaust vents on the doors are open and the air will flow through naturally.
