I don't think so, but maybe someone more knowledgeable than I, can answer the question. I haven't had to pull mine apart myself, just summarizing what I have gleaned from the list and the archives. So far so good, knock on wood. In looking at the pictures in the ETKA, the motor is buried within the heater box, and there is no way to get to it. I suspect that VW, building it like this and knowing the problems that maintenance of the unit would entail, used oil impregnated bronze bushings to give long Service life. Maybe someone who has pulled onout and broken down the motor can address this.
