I just replaced the spark plugs on my 1990 vanagon with Bosch platinum plugs (that I have always used) and now when the engine is cold it will intermittently die when idling. I also have a problem with the cruise control holding speed until the engine warms up. I have checked my connections to the temp II sensor and O2 sensor thinking that I may have knocked a wire loose changing the plugs and all are connected. Has anyone on the list had this happen? Once the engine gets warm these problems do not exist. Ideas anyone? Thanks for any help that the list can offer. David Clarkson 1990 Westy (245k)
