the majority of vehicles on the road are "throwaway cars" camry's, accords, tauruses, cavaliers, etc.. so the Ins. Co's are just used to dealing with people who see their car as a way to get from point A to point B and nothing more and when its totalled they just let it go and accept the current market payoff and move on to something else.

its the auto enthusiasts like us that get screwed....

the Ins.Co's dont expect a fight, they want you to just follow their orders and accept what they give you, so its less paperwork for them.

i agree w/ Allan. Stalemate. make them wait , cause them more paperwork and time and they will be more inclined to give you what you want rather than have the process tie their employees up for months..

hold your ground and have patience.
