Thank you for your replys. I did go through your suggestions already. I pulled the tank, rinsed it with kero, 5 gal of fresh gas, changed both filters, new fuel pump, replaced all the rubber lines (fuel and vacuum), cleaned all the grounds (even the strap on the front of the trans). I'm gonna try replacing the relay. i wasn't able to check fuel press (don't have a gauge) but there isn't fuel leaking into the vac lines, so i thought it might be ok. I've been searching your archives for the past couple of months, couldn't find an answer, so I joined your list and told my story. Thanks for your time, I hope the VW gods smile upon us.
