Subject: DMV odometer report ???

My Vanagon buyer wanted a DMV odometer report, as his report didn't show any mileage(s) The Utah DMV, told me that it is protected information. And that even though I am the registered own I can not have any information on my car (except for the time I've owned it) Not even transaction info on previous owner(s) of my own car. What's up with that? How can I prove mileage on my own car? Is this type of thing just Utah? And... Why ?? thanks, John C...
