Subject: Looking for an engine dynamometer

I'm searching for a good, well-used engine dyno, one with the capacity to test up to 200 hp / 350 ft-lbs. I've seen a few different types, the simplest using a large brake disc and caliper to load the engine. If anyone here knows of a good lead on something usable or repairable, please forward it to me. Or any good ideas on how to build one. I've thought of just taking some huge rotors and calipers, a scale, some of the industrial bearings I have, and a pile of structural steel and just build one. But it would be far easier if I could find one already done.

I need this to speed up the production of the mechanical TDI injector pumps that are one of my specialties. It's getting rather tiresome to rip apart my Syncro Westy TDI every time I need to test one of these pumps; having a dedicated test rig at the shop would pay for itself in no time. An added bonus would be proof to the end user that the pump is set up and putting out the stated power.

Thanks for any leads and/or ideas.
