I would think that anyone going to Mexico, especially any remote areas, would want o take a good sized funnel and a real live shammi (sheep) skin along through which to filter the fuel before putting it into the van. If the fuel itself is bad, not much you can do about that, but if there is stuff in it, like trash and water, the shammi is the only thing I can think of that can separate it out - especially the water - and still allow the fuel to pass through. I used to use those out in the bush country back when I was a bush pilot in Alaska. Saved my butt on a number of occasions.
