Triplett analog meter was a really good old American technology product that has been lost to the cheap competition. Mine is a model 630-NA type 2. I do use digital meters mostly these days but the analog meter still has an application that I much prefer it over using a digital meter. When it comes to check transistors I found my analog Triplett can quickly give me a very clear idea if the transistor is broken or not. It is just much easier for this application than my old HP digital VOM meter. For this reason I will never give up a good analog VOM meter, especially a Triplett 630-NA type 2. I have the original factory manual and the original factory box. It is a complete collection but the test leads were long gone though.
