I've had these for a couple of years now. While they are effective to keep the drips off, and you can run with the window open in a rainstorm down to 1-1/2 inches or there abouts and stay dry, having them mounted in the window channel is problematic. The material is too thick to allow the window to close fully, and the consequence is an annoying whistle. Additionally, by not being securely anchored, they tend to drift down out of position. It may well be that if the window is open, and the things work down just a bit un-noticed while driving, that the wind stream could get underneath and snatch the things from the window. Still and all, I like them. My solution to the sliding down issue was to put a little dollop of plumbers GOOP on each end of the rain vent, then stuff it back into position, then crank the window up tight. When the GOOP cures, the rain shield wont slip. Yet you can pull it loose if you need to. The smoke colored things are cool, but I would prefer chrome plated metal ones if I could find them. My $0.02.
