I use the Pewag snow chains, they're the European pattern (easy install/removal) made in Austria. Don't remember where I got them, but a Google search turned them up. For my area, the chains are way better than snow tires - - we typically get a half-dozen good wintry blasts which covers everything with ice and snow, then a couple of days later it's melted off. Snow tires just get eaten up by the gravel roads. Gary Central Nevada
