When we got our first taste of winter here, I took my Westy out (only operational Syncro right now). I had no troubles at all going to work. Only AFTER I had gotten to work did I realized that the decoupler was engaged. I.E. I had been in 2wd mode all the way to work.

The difference? Snow tires. I've got some Vredestein Winter Comtracs on the Westy. Fantastic in the snow. I hope to be able to test out the Nokians in January when I get the Silver Beast back operational.
