Specialty supplier? Oh, you mean hardware store.

And I've never heard of this "common problem". And as a ham I know maybe 2 dozen or more people in our radio club that own Flukes. It's certainly possible that it's a common problem on a certain model, or maybe a production run, but not to all of them.
