Batteries can go bad in a hurry, I lost a brand new (five months old) starting battery in the middle of a trip back in September. But, if the battery is dropping to about 12.35 and then staying there you may not have a problem. And as for the LED indicators, the circuit that drives them has an adjustment and might not be exactly up to snuff. I have no idea how to adjust it, I just recall discussion here on the list about it. Maybe check the archives?
