Fallen tree branches has been a problem in my neighborood. I complained to the city many times. Well, the city mailed me a letter saying that they inspected the trees and assured me that they were safe. Within a week another branch fell and smashed my kid's Honda. The Attorney General Office of the city called me and offered to settle with me. They paid the bill to have the Honda repaired. They asked for 3 estimates of my choice of body shops.

My Vanagon was hit by a fallen branch too. The branch actually remained on the top of the Vanagon. But there was no damage to the Vanagon roof. The rain gutter was slightly dented though.
