--------------------------- made every mistake with meters and only "blown" the leads off or circuit board never had one explode, not possible..

Paul --------------------------- FYI If you touch the leads to 15,000 volts (primary electric voltage) the meter and leads will explode in an electric arc. Very unpleasant injuries. No fuse will help you. Fortunately you won't be around this type of voltage unless you work in a large factory.

My $10 cheapie multimeter is off by 10 volts on AC. My Craftsman's analog scale is hard to figure out unless you use it frequently. $20 AMPROBE seems to be the best for automotive work, and it's not expensive. Also has the beep to prove continutiy.
