Beautiful. Bumpers, power mirrors, alloy wheels, Hankooks... all is not
lost. Just don't
let them sell the remains to you for too much money. The common belief that
the higher
your settlement price makes the salvage value higher is not always true.
Whilst it is the
insurance company's to offer the salvage to you priced at a percentage of
the total loss
paid, like most things in life, it is negotiable. I was once offered $1800
for my wreck and
got them to settle for $50. In other words, I bought remains of my vehicle
for $50 which
was eventually still worth $2500 to someone else. All in a days work.
