> What a great list. Thanks a lot. Should I have a GPS thingy to punch these > numbers into? A laptop with some kind of software? What you need is the gps software that runs on your gps device.. The gps software that i am familiar with from garmin, magellan allow you to import waypoints as a native format or gpx file. You then overlay those ways point on the gps digital map data The setup I use right now I have a laptop running windoze connected to a rino 530 2 way radio/gps unit and the garmin application MapSource and then and I have a couple of digital maps TopoCanada, and MetroguideCanada. In MapSource there is file import/export you can just click the gpx file & then choose what digital map you want those way points overlaid on once that is done you can route to any waypt ... Similar features exist in the magellan gps software and the ms map point etc
