My street has underground power the entire length, with the exception of *two* poles at the ending cul-de-sac where the local utility was too cheap to use a ground transformer for a lift pump. In the five years since we built here, only three trees have come down across the road in storms, and all of them have landed on that one 75' section of wire... To make matters worse, BC Hydro seems to forgot these two lonely poles exist every time it happens, and drive around trying to find them!
