This morning the oxygen sensor light came on on my 84 vanagaon auto. I have read that this a mileage related item, however the speedometer/odometer in my van hasnt worked since I have owned it. Is mileage the only thing that will trigger this? I feel that in the last tank or so of gas my mileage has probably decreased (just guessing, have no odometer!)

I will probably go ahead and replace it anyway as I have no idea when it was last done.

thanks, Ed Maikranz Abilene TX 84 Vanagon Wolfsburg.
