Subject: Remote starter Switch rules! No fuel leaks!
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Well, so far anyway, after replacing all the fuel lines in the engine compartment. The suggestion to use the remote starter switch (thanks Scott!) was great. I knew I had one, just hadn't used it for awhile, so didn't think of it. It was even easier than jumpering the pump itself. I pulled the fuel pump relay and jumpered terminals 30 and 87, the two middle ones. Pushing the button also activated the ISV, so I disconnected that so all I could hear was the pump and the fuel in the lines. Press and hold 20 or 30 seconds and check all the connections. This is where a telescoping inspection mirror also comes in handy. The only thing I would have done differently is face the screws on the clamps at the fuel rail under the air cleaner down, so if needed, I could tighten them from underneath. The only hose that showed any signs of cracking was the right side return line from fuel rail to FPR. Even the protective sleeve was scorched. All of the hoses got new sleeves.

Anyone have any comments on the clamps that come with the Van-Cafe kit?

Thanks again, Jerry
