Karl I hear you, but John's asking on a vanagon list how to run dual monitors, maybe they're right and he might be better off with a mac?

There is almost a direct parallel here between the merits of turnkey conversions vs. DIY, which both have a similar pattern blends of pros/cons... Mac being similar to a turnkey setup(single source hardware, comes assembled ready to run, more expensive, etc) and PC/Windows being the only way to be more DIY. More options, more possibilities(both good and bad), potential for lower cost, potential for more kinds of problems(install, configuration, etc), if successful a lower level understanding of the system.

It's a stretch, but my things are cars and computers... so what do you expect I suppose. Hey there's vanagon content in the thread now, so it can be LVC.
