Absolute best place I have found is www.autohausaz.com . The washers are tricky to find though. In car systems you have to search for oil pan drain plug seals or fuel system parts. I have restored a few VW's with CIS fuel injection and the copper crush washers always need to be replaced. The dealer wants 80 cents and up each for these washers. Autohaus sells for pennies. You can also search their site by part number. Some PN#'s I have purchased are: 007603-008100 90012314430 007603-008106 RCS14X18 RCS12X15.5 RCS12X16 007603014106 007603020100 007603012102 007603014106
-----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Allan Streib Sent: Thursday, December 27, 2007 10:14 AM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: seeking source for copper crush washers I need an M14 and M16 sized copper crush washer to reconnect the low and high side fittings on my new power steering rack. The one web site I found that lists them does not process orders for less than $25. Anyone know a good place to get these? I've tried local hardware and a few auto parts stores. Will check NAPA today but not holding out a lot of hope based on results elsewhere. Allan -- '91 Vanagon GL |
