I had the exact same symptom and replaced the CV joints, transmission (for other reasons) and rear wheel bearings and nothing has changed. I have been living with the noise for 50k or more and think that I will look at the trailing arm bushings since my problem is worse at slow speeds going over bumps. I have also replaced all of the shocks/struts as well. The noise does sound like a CV joint noise but I even swapped out both sides after replacing with new joints just to absolutely rule out getting a bad joint in the same place.
