a few moths ago there was a guy offering service manuals for vw for 5$ i sent away for it simply to see what one gets on a fishing expedition...

it turned out to be a sun /snap on tools service disc and there under vw is the known recall for vehicles made prior to 2000 fuel line issues may cause fire ... replace under warranty ... when i return home in the new year i will try and figure a way to post all the info contained on that disc ... until then do as benny says and replace all fuel lines and secure with clamps better than OEM yours
