Thanks Andrew, I have seeing in the past some german web sites with these kind of mods, but don't remember at all seeing tiptronic or automatic porsche trannys in the vanagon/t3. I've searched the web extensively and cannot find any links... If you have a link, that would be great, or at least someone that has done it and I can send him an email... In regards of the shifter, can it stay the same way as the vanagon automatic shifter? I don't need the tiptronic stuff... Well, I would not go that far if it would complicate things. There are folks in germany who have fitted Tiptronic transmissions. Any rear-engined Porsche trans can be fitted to a T3. It's a matter of making mounts and getting adaptor driveshafts. And of course sorting the shifter. |
