Hi karl !~ ;-) .....I didn't think that was too bad. It wasn't even my original idea, I just tagged onto a comment on the number of beds in it.

I am genuinely curious though, since you mentioned it, what it the rep of touregs off road ? And if they are not all that 'top dog' ........what is ? What SUV type vehicle is the most capable, or has the rep of being that ? Land rover ? or ?

Btw, there are Americans racing in the Paris Dakar this year, two Hummers. I don't think they'll be very stock hummers though, that's for sure !

Overall, the Toureg looks pretty good to me, for an SUV. I sat in one and thought the interior was made for 'big Americans' a little.......seemed kinda big in there, but one doesn't usually complain about too much room in a car either.
