I'm sure it can be done more than one way but what I would call the
proper approach is to cut away the 2wd steering crossmember and install
Syncro version removed from a donor. The 2wd mounting section for the
radius rods and spare tire carrier hinges also has to go. This stuff is
part of subframe that bolts in place in Syncros but is a welded in
member on 2wd.
The upper control arms are Syncro specific too, so these should be
sourced along with the front suspension assembly for such a project.
Also the 2wd fuel tank is in the way so conversion to a Syncro rear
mounted tank is part of the job.
