Dixie has exhibited some strange oil light/buzzer behaviour. It seems to be
triggered in wet conditions (all winter here, and some summers too). It
seems to dry off and stop after a while - sometimes a 1/4 mile, sometimes
much longer.
Your flickering sounds a little more like it could be low oil pressure. Have
you tried changing the oil, maybe to something a tad heavier? If the
flickering stops, you know what's wrong..........
