Right, there is no commercial trucking through Yosemite park. It says it all
entrances I'm pretty sure. I remember seeing it at the 120 entrance.
When the guy said Tioga Pass was just shy of 10,000 feet.....that sounded
'right' to me.
For California that's a very high altitude road.

There is a road sign that says elevation 10,000 ft at the crossroad, where
you can take off from the Tioga Pass to go to Saddlebag Lake. I am pretty
sure the summit of the Tioga Pass is over 10,000 ft. I could be wrong.
But each time I saw that road sign it was kind of wow to me. Yes, the road
was built around 50 or 60's. It was a private road. The national park
service
bought it and it became part of the park. No commercial trucks are allowed
on it. So you will never see any 18 wheeler there.
