Er. VW did have "factory" foglights on some vehicles (for instance my
Tristar) . The fuse/relay panel is set up for the relay. You need
wiring from the switch (available at VW dealers and our online
vendors) to the fuse/relay panel (this wiring came with the Projektzwo
fog lights with the appropriate pins to plug into the fuse/relay
panel) and from the fuse relay panel to the lights (front and or rear).
A few caveats are...this wiring is similar in design to the headlight
wiring. All the current goes through the switch. The fuse/relay panel
is only designed for 55w lights. It WILL melt if you try to throw more
through it. Heck it can melt if you try to run 55 w through it. Most
of those connectors have oxidized enough over the years, that you'll
be getting a fair amount of resistance anyway.
As to the wiring color...well brown is almost always ground. :)
